Rheia is an AI-guided journaling and meditation app developed by RHEIA, LLC.
2 · what we collect
We collect only what is necessary to deliver the Rheia experience.
Information you provide:
- Optional name and pronouns
- Preferred guidance tone and life lens (e.g., caregiver, creative, grief)
- Journal entries you choose to write or speak
- Notification preferences
- Feedback email address, if provided
Information collected automatically:
- Basic usage data (e.g., sessions opened, prompts viewed)
- Device type and operating system version
- App version and crash reports
We do not collect your precise location. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
3 · smart timing (on-device only)
If you enable Smart Timing, Rheia uses on-device signals — such as Focus/Do Not Disturb status, motion, battery level, and quiet hours — to deliver your weekly Moment at a thoughtful time.
This processing happens entirely on your device. These signals are never sent to our servers and are never stored or shared.
4 · how we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Deliver and personalize your weekly Moment
- Adapt AI tone and content to your preferences
- Improve the app experience over time
- Respond to support requests or feedback
- Maintain the security and stability of the app
We do not use your journal entries to train AI models. We do not sell your data. We do not show you advertising.
5 · AI & your journal entries
Rheia uses AI to reflect your words back to you — gently and without judgment. Your entries may be processed to generate a short, in-session reflection.
Your journal entries are private. They are not shared with third parties, not used to build advertising profiles, and not used to train AI systems without your explicit consent.
6 · how we share information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We may share limited information with trusted service providers who help us operate Rheia (e.g., cloud storage, analytics). These providers are contractually required to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
7 · data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time through the app or by contacting us directly.
8 · your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you

- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Export your journal entries

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you through the app or via email.
Continued use of Rheia after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
